How the collaboration worked

Working with Antigravity isn't about asking an AI to "build me a website" and crossing your fingers. It’s tight, iterative pair-programming:

1. I set the system architecture: Defining schemas, component boundaries, data models, and user journeys.
2. Antigravity writes the code: Scaffolding functions, managing npm packages, handling git operations, and writing CSS.
3. Continuous feedback loop: I inspect the results in the browser, course-correct logic, refine the tone, and push to production.

The dynamic is simple: I drive the thinking, Antigravity accelerates the execution.

Dynamic pitch generation: A portfolio that applies with me

Most portfolios are passive brochures—you send a generic link and cross your fingers that the hiring team connects the dots to their open role.

I designed this platform to be an active job-application engine:

• Bespoke Landing Pages: When applying for a role, I paste the job description into /admin. The Gemini-powered backend cross-references the role requirements against my structured knowledge base of case studies, career facts, and leadership principles.
• Dedicated /hello/company-role Links: It generates a shareable, tailored URL for that hiring team highlighting relevant projects, direct strengths, and honest discussion topics.
• Automated Tailored CV: Alongside the pitch page, it generates a role-aligned, ATS-optimised PDF resume on the fly.
• Inbound AI Role-Fit: Recruiters and hiring teams visiting the site can paste any JD directly on the home page to see an instant, transparent breakdown of how my background matches their needs (try it yourself).

The custom admin interface & privacy-first analytics

Most portfolios rely on heavy Google Analytics scripts and cookie banners. Instead, I built a lightweight, private telemetry console at /admin to monitor real-time visitor dwell time, scroll depth, and incoming role-fit queries without cookie banners or third-party trackers.

My learnings

Building this platform hands-on alongside Antigravity reinforced a few core truths about the evolving role of design:

• Architecture over syntax: AI is extraordinary at writing code, configuring tooling, and managing repetitive tasks—but only when guided by clear architectural boundaries, strict schemas, and intentional user journeys.
• Steering is the new craft: The role of the designer doesn't disappear; it elevates. You shift from manually moving pixels to acting as Creative Director—setting the standard, pressure-testing edge cases, and ensuring the output aligns with a cohesive vision.
• Velocity expands what a solo leader can build: When execution friction drops to near zero, exploring ideas becomes effortless. Building custom serverless telemetry or dynamic AI engines is no longer locked behind dedicated engineering sprints—a design leader can ship end-to-end products independently.
